I guess that my list for the old version was helpful because many bugs were fixed, so I am re-creating a list of up-to-date bugs for the new version. This list is from previous posts including old fixed and non-fixed bugs, as well as the new bugs with this version. You can thank bug #3 under new bugs for motivating me to make this list. I also found several more bugs and suggested a few ideas. Maybe you could pick a few of your favorite ideas of mine, a few ideas from other players, and a few ideas of your own to chance for the next patch/version. I would appreciate it if you could fix at least (under new bugs) #1, #3, #8, and most importantly #14 (the 2nd paragraph is quicker solution), as well as #5 under old non-fixed bugs. If you make any of these changes then I’ll send hot diggity doggs to everyone and be a happy asstral player! Thank you!
Newly Found Bugs
FIX THIS FIRST PLEASE ------------>1. I get disconnected now 50 times more than I used to. I think everyone else does too because they’re always complaining about getting disconnected. Sometimes I'll get disconnected 3 games in a row, while others I'll get disconnected only 1 time every 8 games. It gets especially annoying when playing a tournament. Usually I'll spend 15 - 30 minutes trying to get a game organized, 5 minutes for everyone to make a deck, then I'll play the first game and then about 1/3rd of the games I'll get disconnected after the first game, so I'll have to close the game, reopen it, then try to get another tournament again. It’ll be even harder trying to get a 2nd tournament going because most people don’t play tournament and the people who do play are going to be playing for the next 15 – 40 minutes. Plus, because the people who I abandoned in the game knew that I just disconnected during the first round, so my credibility will be stripped and they won’t be as willing to play with me the next time. This bug alone makes it nearly impossible to get to a high level. I gave up in custom because out of 5 games, when I play players with a lower level than me, I’ll win about 3 and lose 1, which just about evens out my level, but then the last game when I should have won I’ll get disconnected. If I don’t get disconnected from this bug then I’ll get a loss from another bug. I figured a way around restarting your computer when this bug occurs. Hold ctrl alt and press delete, wait a few seconds and then hold alt and push “e”, then wait a few seconds and hold alt and push “e” again. If that doesn’t work then wait a few more seconds and hold alt and push e again. This opens up windows task manager and uses the shortcut keys to “End Task” for astral masters. Astral Masters’ image will be frozen on your monitor until you end the task, and you won’t be able to minimize it so you won’t be able to see where your mouse is at…..the alt e shortcut is the best counter for this bug.
This bug occurred for me in custom duels, classic duels, and tournaments for multiplayer. I never played single player games against the computer before, so I don’t know if it occurs for single player games. Although, I was just testing out a theory for another bug and I surrendered for a custom single player duel, and the game froze. The “Archmage has won!” image is the last thing that you can see when it gets stuck.
2. This is probably the same bug as above. Someone I was playing in the first round of a tournament told me that he is going to disconnect at the end of our duel. I asked him how he knew and he said that he was in windows mode. I’m assuming that he got an error, which indicates that he’s going to drop. I play in full-screen mode, so I never know when I am going to drop.
These 2 disconnect bugs (#1 and #2) makes people drop from tournaments like flies. If someone drops then everyone else has to sit out for a round. After one person drops or leaves, then it basically ruins the rest of the rounds because everyone will either have to wait out for a round or leave the game entirely. It seems that in every other tournament if you don’t drop then someone else will. If someone drops who was about to play you, then it’s extremely boring waiting to play the remaining player(s) for 10-20 minutes, so it’s best to take the exp loss for leaving. If 2 players are dueling each other and you are waiting to play both of them immediately due to your first-round opponent dropping (dropped from other bugs below I guess, or made a bad deck and hit alt-f4, or their computer crashed), then while you are playing the second round, a second person will leave 9 out of 10 games because he doesn’t want to wait. If you don’t play tournament mode often, then someone dropping before the first round happens more often than you may think. Someone dropping by the second round occurs even more often. About 1/5rd of tournaments last all 3 rounds with 4 players, 2/5th I will disconnect, 1/5th someone will drop before the first round, and 1/5th someone will drop in the 2nd round. Due to my own disconnects and other players disconnects, over half of all tournaments last only one round. The other half will last 2 rounds due to leaver(s). If it does last a full 3 rounds, then that’s because we got lucky and no one disconnected yet and also probably because no one left the game because they all have good decks compared to you, so you’ll probably go 1 and 2 or 0 and 3. It seems that in tournaments, sometimes you just get horrible card choices or you just picked the wrong two colors in the beginning and it’s too late to change to pick the good cards that are now available. Other times it seems that there are half a dozen good cards to pick in the beginning and when those cards are gone you keep getting the first pick at the new good cards that just happen to match your deck’s build. If you are up against players who got lucky picks or experienced players who always have the best deck every game, then you’ll probably last a full 3 rounds and lose 2 or 3 of them. The most fun part about playing tournament is when you get incredibly lucky card picks and you beat all 3 players with no one disconnecting.
3. The server will disconnect for hours at a time. Usually it disconnects around 5pm – 7pm and no one will be able to play until the next morning around 6am – 7am. A few days ago it just disconnected around 1-2pm, and it wasn’t back up until 7:00am the next morning. During the last 2 weeks, the server has been disconnecting about every day to every other day for 10-15 hours. This is by far the thing that I would want fixed the most because you can’t play at all for the entire day.
4. I don’t know if this is new or old. During the new version it has happened to me 3 times. Someone annoying player will type literally 100’s of messages into the chat box and Astral Masters will crash due to overloading the ram or something like that. I’ll get a loss and they’ll get a win, what the hell! 2 players intentionally typed 100’s of times within seconds because it was the end of the duel and I was about to win with 35 mental power and a spell-only draw deck. They were typing a thousand messages probably to distract me to make my time limit go over so they would win. They just type this gibberish ? ks [ENTER] fdj; [ENTER] lask [ENTER] dfj [ENTER];a [ENTER] ls [ENTER] kdj [ENTER] fokv [ENTER] npwinv [ENTER] poiqwm [ENTER] evpoim [ENTER] awpeovi [ENTER] mwep [ENTER] oiv.
5. Right before you’re about to win, the game will crash, you will lose, and the opponent who was just about to lose wins. This has happened far too many times when I was 1 second away from winning. All I would have had to do to get a dozen or two extra wins instead of losses was to hit the “End Turn” button. Sometimes I’ll get disconnected when the opponent ends his or her turn and there are creatures on the board about to win when I hit end turn. Other times I’ll get disconnected after I cast a spell that damages the opponent enough so the creatures already on the board can finish him off. Immediately after I cast the spell, I am disconnected. I NEVER got disconnected in the middle of a game. It is ALWAYS exactly 1 second before I am going to click end turn to win. There’s no other explanation than someone using a hack to crash your program. I’m absolutely positive that this is the case.
6. Someone mentioned a Merfolk Hunter bug, but the situation never came up for me so it’s not confirmed.
7. The game will start and when it’s the opponent’s turn to act he or she will not do anything for hours. I’ll be able to type in the chat box, but it won’t matter. The opponent’s turn will never expire (I’ve left it on all day a few times to test it out) and I’ll have to exit the game and get a loss. They seem to have dropped and have an infinite time to act, but no one is there, so you’re forced to surrender. I was idle one time for a tournament game and 30 minutes later I came back and the red warning appeared that said I would lose the game if I don’t act within 15 seconds. I should have lost 29 minutes ago, but I was able to play my 1st turn. It was now my opponent’s 2nd turn. I told him that I was back and to go for another 30 minutes, but he wasn’t there and seemed to have dropped or just minimized Astral Masters. I exited the tournament and on the right bar it said that the person who I just played was the only player left in the tournament. At the time when I exited the tournament that could never expire, there were 4 total tournaments where there was only one player left in the tournament. I played the idle player and played as the idle player, and both ways it didn’t freeze the game for me. However, I don’t think that all 4 players stuck in a solo-tournament would go idle for that long of a time, so possibly only their names were stuck there after their opponents surrendered.
8. This is an old bug, but I’ve never listed it before because I didn’t want to be a rat; however, there are WAY too many people who seem to know what cards I have. Some people can see what cards you have in your entire deck and even your hand by reading your ram with a simple free hex editor from download.com. Some guy told me how he did it when I first started playing. He named every card in my hand, knew the name of my deck, and knew how much MP my deck was worth. People who hack can wait for you to pick your deck first, and then they have usually at least 45 seconds to look at your deck and then they’ll just pick a deck that counters yours. They’ll also make moves that they otherwise never would have because they can see your cards. If they know that the only card that you have is a stone rain and you’re going on 5 mental power, they’ll know not to summon their merfolk hunter to kill your creature, but to cast a spell instead. This person told me the name of a particular hex editor, where to download it at, the starting coordinate for the first card in your deck, and the starting coordinate for the first card in your hand. Each following coordinate was the next card in your hand/deck. He then told me the simple algorithm to figure out what card is what. If I remember correctly, you just had to convert the hexadecimal numbers into regular numbers. Then, the regular numbers match up with each card in the game. He runs the game in window mode instead of fullscreen, so his hack can conveniently be accessed. He probably made the hack so it sits directly above the opponent’s cards, so he doesn’t have to minimize Astral Masters to get to the other application. In other words, he can see your cards face up instead of face down, without doing a thing. I’ll bet that he can even view the next 30 cards that you will draw, because you seem to draw cards in a predetermined order. If you have 3 chain lightings in your deck, then you’ll have to draw 10 cards (give or take a few) before you’ll get another chain lightning. The cards that you will draw next most likely aren’t already stored in your ram, but you can probably use an algorithm to figure out the next infinite amount of cards that you and your opponent will get. Maybe if a certain piece of ram is read, then you apply some crazy algorithm to the info from the ram based upon a different section of ram, then apply another algorithm to the new piece of info, and so on. Each new piece of info could equal the next card for you or your opponent.
I just found all of the info saved in a notepad file that he gave me last year.
004E35C0 - Start of card names in deck
Fire Spirit
Orc Soldier
Wild Ritual
Wall of Fire
Minotaur
Cure
Merfolk Shaman
Sea Sprite
Ocean Master
Ice Guard
Faerie Apprentice
Griffon
Priest of Air
Wyvern
Hypnosiss
4e3601 - Start of cost of 1st card
Add 161 to each address to find the cost of the next card
4e3762
I think that if you convert 004E35C0 (start of deck) / 4e3601 (start of hand) to a decimal number, then add 161 to it, then convert it back to a hexadecimal number, then you’ll know the following card. So 4e3601 is the first card in the opponent’s hand and I guess that 4e3601 161 = 4e3762, which is the second card in the hand. I think that Fire Spirit is the first card in the deck, Orc Soldier is the 2nd card in the deck, Wild Ritual is the 3rd etc. Then, you just have to create a program that reads ram and applies that algorithm to a few things and you got yourself a nifty little hack that ruins the game for everyone else by viewing the cards in their deck and the cards in their hands.
I just researched how to hack some more (a week or 2 after I wrote the above paragraph) and I figured how out to further. I think that you need to open up astralmasters.exe with the hex editor. Then go to those numbers (004E35C0 and 4e3601) for the first card in the opponent’s hand and the cost of the MP of that card. Although, they were the hex addresses for the old version of astral masters. I don’t know what the addresses are, but I’m sure that the person who made that other hack can figure it out. You probably busted up everyone’s hacks when you created the new version, but they probably just got a new one a week or 2 later. You should probably remove the above explanation just incase, because other people can use this to create hacks. Well maybe not because I can hardly figure it out, and if someone can figure it out then they probably don’t need to read this.
9. Sometimes if you hit alt tab to minimize astral masters, it’ll minimize, but the image of the astral masters game will be frozen/stuck to your monitor. You’ll have to use alt tab to maximize astral masters again, and then minimze it again. It gets annoying if you have a dozen applications in the background because you have to guess to hit alt tab 11 times to fix it. It sometimes takes like 50 tries during a few minutes to maximize astral masters again. The way that you have to hit alt tab is by holding alt for 3 full seconds and then hitting tab. If you hold alt and push tab right away, then this bug will occur and it will seem that your PC is locked up. Other full-screen games and applications do not do this.
10. If you minimize Astral Masters by hitting alt tab while the game is initially loading, then the game itself and your computer will freeze until you manually restart your computer. You can’t use alt tab (as mentioned above in #9) to fix this problem.
11. If the 4 players are drafting their cards in the beginning of a tournament, after you choose your card and you are waiting for the other players to finish picking, the time that is displayed will be blank after it reaches 0, and then you’ll have to wait at most 4-5 seconds before it’s your turn again. It seems that there is a set of cards to pick from per player. If all 4 players have an equal amount of time to pick a card, then when the time reaches 0, it should be your turn to choose a card again, so you shouldn’t have to wait the 5 seconds to act again. If everyone has a different amount of time to choose his or her next card, then the time that is displayed is useless if you already chose your card. Instead, the time that should be displayed should be equal to the player who hasn’t chose a card yet and has the highest amount of time left. Then, if that player picked a card, the time should chance to the next player with the highest time who hasn’t picked a card yet.
12. I was just playing in a tournament and used Natural Hunger. My creatures’ attacks were a 3, 3, 2, and 1. The opponent had an Elf Armorer out, so instead of doing 9 damage it should only do 8. Instead it did only 5 damage. It reduced these attacks: 3, 3, 2, and 1, ALL by one less attack. 3, 3, 2, 1 minus one equals 2, 2, 1, and 0. 2 2 1 0 = 5 instead of 8 (3 3 2 1 – 1 = 8). The Elf Armorer reduced the damage to the owner by 4 instead of 1. Natural Hunger is the only card in the game that deals with a creature’s attack power, so it’s the only bug with an Elf Armorer. If you have 6 Elf Armorers out, then instead of blocking only 6 damage, the Elves will block as much as 36 damage if the opponent casts Natural Hunger and has all creatures out with huge attack powers. This has the same effect as Wall of Peace. It reduces all creature’s attack power by 1. If you had 6 Wall of Peaces out, then each creature’s attack owned by the opponent will have 6 less attack, so if the opponent casts a Natural Hunter, then it will reduce the damage dealt to you by 36 damage. This bug only occurred for me once that I noticed in tournament play, but has probably happened a few times. I tested two custom decks in hotseat mode 2 weeks after finding out about this bug, but everything worked fine. Either the bug has been fixed, or most likely the bug needs some other condition that I haven’t found to trigger it.
13. I think that this is the way that it’s supposed to be, but could also be a bug. Unlike Magic The Gathering, walls in this game are allowed to attack. If you stick a Faerie Tactician next to any wall, then it will attack. It would make more sense if the wall didn’t attack, but it still got the 2 attack bonus, so when you use cards like Natural Hunter or the opponent uses cards like Justice, giving it extra attack can be either good or bad for you. Instead of walls being able to attack, it would be cool if when a wall blocks a creature, it would deal damage to the creature equal to the wall’s attack; sort of like Wall of Reflection. This way, walls can actually have an attack higher than 0 and deal the creature’s damage. New walls could be added such as Wall of Thorns and Barb Wire. Plus, if a creature attacks a Wall of Fire, don’t you think that it should be dealt fire damage for trying to get near the flaming fireballs? “Oh crap this giant wall of fire just surrounded me! Maybe I should attack it and then jump over it to get back to my army. Attack! Attack! Attack! Jump! Ouch that’s hot! Oh nice, I wasn’t dealt any damage!” Plus, what if a Griffon attacked the firewall with his bare feet? It should set the Griffon’s fur on fire instantly and kill him! And what if a Salamander used his fire attack or Firebreathing ability on the Fire Wall? Fire attacks shouldn’t do anything to a defensive wall made out of fire. It would take only a few minutes to make each card more realistic like this one.
14. This is the only one that isn’t a bug, but it’s the most important thing to change because tournament play is crippled right now. Here are X reasons why something should be done to make it easier for a tournament to be started. First, you start off in custom duels, so there will already be less people in classic and tournament chat rooms. Second, people are already familiar with custom and classic duels from single player mode, so they will play those two first instead of tournament. If most people are like me, then they will play the single player mode first a lot and beat the single player tournament mode a few times before trying multiplayer. Single player is all about the custom decks, so when people first try multiplayer games they will go first to custom games. For the first few months that you play this game for, even if you play it for hours a day, your mental power will continuously rise, meaning that you will stay entertained with custom duels because you can make/edit dozens of new decks a day. Third, people suck at tournaments when they first start. You have to play a ton of classic AND custom games to be good at tournament because you need to be good at creating decks like in custom games while choosing your cards and creating your deck, and just as good at classic games because the cards that you have to choose from are all random like in classic. I couldn’t win more than 10 - 20% of the tournament games that I’ve played until I got experience from over 1,000 custom games and a few 100 classic games; and I’m still just average at it. When I was losing 6 out of every 7 tournament rounds, I didn’t want to play it at all. Fourth, tournaments or classic duels aren’t as fun as custom duels until you increase your mental power to one of these levels (1500 - 1700 – 1900) and get stuck by not being able to win against players who will play you so you won’t be able to increase your mental power further. The same few decks that you can make will get boring enough to switch over to classic or tournament mode. New players will probably never play more than a few dozen tournament games and will have to play at least a thousand custom/classic games before they’ll give tournament a try again. Fifth, you can’t edit your decks in tournament mode. If I wanted to wait for a tournament to start, but wanted to look at the cards by clicking “Edit Deck,” then I wouldn’t be able to because I’d be in a different chat room. Or if other players are editing their decks, they would probably stay in the custom or classic chat rooms. Now if the other 25 people in the classic chat room and 50 people in the custom chat room looks at/checks how many people are in the tournament room and it says 0 or 2 or 6, then they’re probably going to stay in/go back to the custom/classic chat room because it looks like there’s more players there. Sixth, if you create a game, no one will join it unless you spam the classic/custom chat rooms with “TOURNAMENT” every 20 seconds, which will reduce the number of people in the tournament room even further. Then you’re going to get someone telling you, “STFU you’re annoying.”
What would make the most sense would be to add all 3 chat rooms into 1 room. It would take no longer than an hour to fix, but a simple “1 minute fix” idea would be to display a message to the classic/custom rooms that said “A Tournament Has Been Created” and then indicate if it’s a round table, classic, or custom ( mental power) tournament.
15. In the tournament chat rooms, your “round table” level is not displayed. Instead, your total level is displayed. In the classic chat room, your classic level is displayed, and your custom level is displayed in the custom chat room. Your round table level is not used anywhere except for your profile. Shouldn’t the round table chat rooms display the round table level? And then if you want to view someone’s total level, it’ll be in his or her profile.
16. When you click on Astral Masters so it runs, a message box will pop up that asks you to type in the registration number and either click on “Register” or “Cancel.” I already registered over a year ago and I have no idea what my registration number is, so I have to click Cancel every time I want to play this game. When I click Cancel, it loads the game. There is no reason for this box to pop up.
17. I was playing a game with Bevlin and I asked him if he won last round in the tournament. He said, “No, the stupid bug let me lose. I get a message – your time is over – you have lost – but it wasn’t my turn.” I get this message all of the time. It appears in the chat box while playing a game and all of a sudden it will say, “Your opponent’s time has expired” or “Your Time Has Expired.” I was playing another tournament game during the final round when it was either going to go up to 50 turns and I went last so I would have won, or I would have won around turn 30 - 40 with 1,500 – 2,500 life. Instead, I got the “Your Time Has Expired” message right before the 20th turn. Every turn, the opponent would cast 2 Nature Rituals from his 2 Keepers of Nature and I would counter it each turn with 1 – 2 Natural Hungers with a bunch of casters out that gave me 8 cards and 10 life each turn. Towards the end, every turn I was gaining about 25 - 50 life, and dealing the opponent about just about no damage (because his healing spells evened out the my 13 – 25 damage/turn.) He had out the majority of the game 2 – 3 Walls of Silence, 1 Walls of Magic, and 1-2 Keepers of Nature, so he would never deal my creatures any damage with his creatures and he had no spells in his deck to deal damage to my creatures. From my 1st attack turn to the last turn, he received cards from his Wall of Silences when my creatures attacked him. He received usually 4 cards a turn and I lost 4, but I would get 20 cards (in a 15-card deck) each turn from 2 Faerie Skillmasters, 2 Elf Healers, and 2 Faerie Peacekeepers, and a combination of a dozen Nature Rituals, Rejuvenations, and Swords of Nature rotating in my hand every turn. I had 2 wins and my opponent had 1 win and 1 loss. I suck at tournament and this was one of the best decks that I’ve made, and I ended up losing due to a bug that has no reason to occur!
18. I was playing a tournament with 4 players. I was able to pick my first two cards in the tournament. When I was waiting for my 3rd turn to pick a card, nothing ever happened. All of the cards from the second screen of picks were all dimmed so I couldn’t click on them. I waited about 5 – 10 minutes before closing Astral Masters. I immediately opened the game back up to see the other 3 players still in the tournament. I don’t know why this happened. If someone from the tournament dropped on his or her second turn before picking a card, then does the timer end his or her turn and pick a card to remove from each sheet automatically every time it’s the disconnected player’s turn?
19. I was playing a tournament with 5 players. After the first round, someone left. The second round started and me and another player had to wait out while the remaining 2 players dueled. It should have paired me up with the other player because we were both waiting.
20. When I was waiting for the next round in a tournament to start, a message box popped up that said “Connecting to (player’s name).” When the game started, the message box never went away. Creature slots 2 3 and 4 were all blocked by the message box. I clicked somewhere and the game crashed.
21. If you click on any of these spells, Call to Fittest, Materialize, Astral Search, or Duplicated Matrix, then you can’t go back and see what other cards you have. If you forget what cards you have in your hand, then you may not know what to do next.
22. Enslaving Wind doesn’t work on your creatures. I had a Keeper of Nature and wanted to use Enslaving Wind to return one of my other creatures to my hand so I could use Keeper of Nature’s ability. Enslaving Wind’s text on the card says “target creature” which means any creature. With Wind of Command and Wind of Conquer, you could return your creatures to your hand as well as your enemies. The text for these 3 spells are all the same “returns target creature.”
23. I was waiting in the classic room to either play a game there or wait for someone to join the tournament room to start a tournament. When someone joined the tournament chat room, I clicked on “Tournaments – 1 player” label at the top to start a tournament. One second after I joined the tournament chat room, a duel was accepted from someone in the classic room who I previously invited. After I finished my classic duel, I was spit out into the tournament chat room. It seems that there is lag for 1 second after someone clicks on accept duel. It’s no big deal because a tournament probably wouldn’t have started anyway, but if there were more than a few players logged in, then it may have prevented me from playing a tournament game.
24. I was signed into astral masters and I just accepted a duel from someone else. The “Connecting to (Player’s name)” message box popped up. Seconds later the game screen turned 100% black. A second later a message box error minimized and then crashed the game. After I clicked the message box another one appeared. I clicked the second one and a third one appeared. I clicked the 3rd one and it the “crashing” message boxes stopped appearing. This happened only once in 2 years and it may not have even been caused by this game, so I wouldn’t worry about fixing this one.
25. There are other bugs listed on the forum by other players that do not occur for me. I know that at least Asydius has listed several bugs on another post that you should probably take a look at.
Old Non-Fixed Bugs
1. After finishing a game, I will be sent back to the chat room. My name from the top list on the right will be gone. I will instead assume the level of the person who is at the top of the list. I’ll be able to play anyone within his or her level range. This bug has happened dozens of times with the old version, but only once with the new version. The last time I had this bug I took the identity of a level 5, and I played a level 2 AND LOST! I lost 100’s of XP, which was about 15-25 wins worth of experience! This isn’t a big deal because it rarely occurs.
2. You can’t block anyone’s messages. If you use a dragon deck or do anything else that people don’t like then they will curse at you for the next 30 minutes and you can’t do anything to block it. Also, they can overload your ram and make you freeze by typing 100’s messages within seconds. Plus, in the old version with the mana Archangel/Energy Bolt deck, one person actually typed 100’s of messages and I glanced at them for a millisecond and I lost because I didn’t release my mouse button quick enough when I was about to win by using a Mana Bolt for 50 damage. People do this all of the time to try to distract you and make you lose or go over your time limit. Please add a block/ignore list so people can’t harass you or type 100’s of messages.
3. Right before a duel begins, when you are choosing your deck, the deck screen sticks to the mouse (When I move the mouse cursor the screen moves with it!). I have to do a bunch of clicks and mouse movements to get the screen unstuck to the mouse, or hit space bar, click the message box that pops up, and hope that my mouse is in the right position after the message box disappears. This usually takes between 5-10 seconds to fix and happens just about every game, but sometimes it takes 30-45 seconds to try to fix if the box is in a weird position! If you’re new to this game then you’ll probably spend a while trying to get the box to stay in one place just like I used to. This is still extremely annoying.
4. I can't use my regular Mozilla Firefox browser to post messages on this forum. I usually forget about this bug, sign into this website using Mozilla, type my message, and click post, but nothing happens. So I have to copy and paste the message after loading Internet Explorer and resigning into this website again. This is still a pain with the new version because Internet Explorer is horribly slow and lags due to spyware.
5. You are limited to a certain amount of decks. I am constantly creating new decks and deleting them to avoid going over my limit. If you have reached your maximum amount of decks, you will still be able to create a new deck. Although, you won't be able to save this deck, and you won't know that you're unable to save it until you already chose your 30 cards! The only way to save the new deck is if you somehow remembered the exact name of an old deck, but that will delete your old deck! One time I created a new deck, didn't know that I couldn't have any more decks, guessed the name of an old deck to save my new deck, then found out that I deleted the wrong deck! Several other times I created a new deck, couldn't save it, and couldn't remember the names of any old decks, so I had to cancel the new deck and wasted over 30 minutes making it! A simple solution to this problem is to not allow the creation of a new deck if the player already has the maximum number of decks. I thought that someone said he was going to fix this bug during the last version, but it’s not fixed. It would make custom games much better if we could have up to 100 decks. There are what, 188 cards? That means that each card takes up 3 characters and there are 30 cards in a deck, which is only 90 bits or whatever of space per deck. So, 100 decks would only be about 9 kb? If there are 2,500 registered players, each with 100 decks, then that would take up less than 23 MB. You could have bought a hard drive with 300 MB on it 6 years ago for $80. Or you can get a nice fast and crappy 100 MB one for $20 now days, which could store almost a million decks for $20. If there’s no space in the case then an external one that plugs into the USB port should work well. If you invested in a larger hard drive and we had all of these decks that we could use, then custom games wouldn’t be the same every time you played. When I play custom, I usually rotate all 10 or so of my decks. If I had 100, then I would rotate all 100 of them, and I would never get bored of this game. I’m tired of using only the same 10 versions of decks that I used from 750 mental power to 1905 mental power. If I want to create a new deck, then I have to delete one of my favorite old decks that I’ve been using for 2 months. Also, if other players could use up to 100 decks, then I’m sure that people would use easier decks to beat because they’d be testing many more, or even using less powerful decks for fun. I know before even playing that I am going to have to play a dragon deck that eats up all my cards and keeps my astral power at 0 before my 2nd or 3rd turn, an elf defender/astral guard deck (You cast a spell and it deals 0-2 damage to an astral guard, and if you summon a creature then the Merfolks will just destroy it instantly…taking 0 damage), or the Merfolk Spellbreaker – Gifts of Sea – Duplicated Matrix – Gifts of Sea – Merfolk Spellbreaker – Merfolk Spellbreaker – Merfolk Spellbreaker – Merfolk Overlord – Merfolk Spellbreaker – Merfolk Spellbreaker – Merfolk Spellbreaker combo.
6. Sometimes I will propose a duel to another player and he will propose a duel to me. Even though we have both proposed duels, the game won't start. I will have to click on accept duel again or he has to click on accept duel again. I think this happens because we both click on propose duel at the same exact time, so even though we both proposed duels to each other, we still have to wait a second for the accept duel text to load and then click on that.
Old Fixed Bugs – Thanks for fixing all of these bugs!
1. When I'm playing a game, at random times, I will not be able to use any cards or end my turn. I have figured out that you have to hit enter to be able to play again. This seemed to turn into the #5 new version bug above, where the opponent can’t act and you just get a loss. They both occur just as frequently.
2. After I choose a deck to use, sometimes the game will freeze at the "Waiting for opponent to choose a deck" screen and I will have to close the game. Usually this screen goes away after a few minutes, except with this bug. I've left this game on for half an hour once and it never went away. This isn’t a huge bug because it happens only 1 out of every 50 or so games. I don’t think that I’ve ever got this bug again, so I’m assuming that it’s fixed.
3. This is the most annoying bug: If you click on a player's name and the "View Profile - Personal Message - Propose Duel - Propose Training" screen pops up, usually when someone joins or leaves the chat room, the screen will disappear! If the game is populated and many people are joining and/or leaving, or if you have an idiot constantly switching game rooms (Classic Duels, Customized, Tournament) 100 times a minute then it could take 10 tries before viewing someone's profile. If you want to view many player's profiles to decide who to play, you could take a few minutes, and by that time they have already started a duel with someone else!
4. This bug allows you to play players who you are not allowed to play. If the "View Profile - Personal Message - Propose Duel - Propose Training" screen is visible and someone joins or leaves a game at the same time that you click Propose Duel, then you will end up proposing/accepting a duel of the person below the player who you wanted to play! I have accepted/proposed duels to players who I didn't want to play and lost several times due to this bug!!! I never got this bug yet in the new version, so I guess that it’s fixed!
5. This is the same bug as above almost. If you click View Profile when someone joins or leaves the chat room instead of Propose Duel, then you will end up viewing the player's profile below the player who you clicked! This wastes valuable time because by the time you view the wrong profile, notice that the name is wrong, and view the correct profile, the player who you wanted to play will probably already have started a duel!
